The CIPP examination is constructed by the 22-member Global Advisory Board and reviewed annually. Candidates sit a single six-hour proctored paper composed of four domain papers, each weighted equally. Every item is constructed-response: a policy brief, a regulatory opinion, a calculation, or a memorandum to a minister. There is no multiple choice.
